This week we will be completing the Stanford Achievement Test. Due to the intensity of the daily testing, I will not be assigning homework for this week. However, I do encourage you to continue to read nightly with your child as well as quiz them on basic math facts and other skills we’ve covered up to this point.
It is also VERY important that your child gets a good night sleep each night, eats a healthy breakfast, and brings healthy snacks to school. We will be taking breaks between sections to refuel! It is also important that your child be at school ON-TIME EVERYDAY of testing. This will help to eliminate possible anxiety. I also recommend that you talk about the test daily with your child. We want students to take the test seriously, but do not want to impose any pressures or anxiety related to the test. Students should know that there is nothing to worry about! They are prepared for this test!
As always, please contact me with any questions or concerns.
Ms. Maria
