A 1000 kg roller coaster car is at the top of the roller coaster at 40 m. The arc at the base of the hill simulates circular motion of radius 16 m. It then rises back up the next hill, simulating a circle of 9 m, with a height of 18 m. This is all very confusing, so you can look at the picture here. Find the normal force at the top of the second hill. Use this value to determine whether or not it will stay on the track.
A car drives on a circular track of radius 25 m. The coefficient of static friction between the car and the road is 0.6. If the car has a mass of 900 kg, find the maximum velocity the car can drive without sliding.
